Cheonggyecheon is a lovely urban stream that winds its way through the heart of Seoul, where the past and present seem to coexist harmoniously. Cheonggyecheon extends for approximately 11.5 kilometers, and its transparent waters and diverse landscaping and sculptures make it an ideal location for a leisurely stroll.

Cheonggyecheon has a long and distinguished history. During the Joseon Dynasty, it served as a vital water supply, and later, the stream was reclaimed for urban development. However, thanks to a restoration project, the stream has been brought back to life and is now one of Seoul’s most iconic tourist attractions. Additionally, Cheonggyecheon plays host to a variety of cultural events and festivals, particularly during the summer months, when its water sculptures and nighttime views are especially popular.
