Seoul’s Bukchon Hanok Village is a well-preserved neighborhood of hanoks, traditional Korean houses, and is a wonderful place to get a sense of Seoul’s history and culture. It’s located between Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung palaces, and is charmed by its narrow, cozy alleyways. Bukchon is the neighborhood where the nobility lived during the Joseon Dynasty, and you can experience the beauty of hanoks up close.

When you enter Bukchon, you’ll be immediately immersed in the tranquil atmosphere. The traditional roofs and gardens of the hanoks will make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. There are also plenty of photo-worthy spots to take pictures that will make your friends envious!

In particular, take a walk along the Bukchon Hanok Village Trail, which is a collection of traditional hanoks, each with its own unique charm. There are also plenty of cute cafes and workshops where you can sip traditional tea or try your hand at handicrafts. There are also plenty of cute souvenir shops where you can find great items for souvenirs.

Bukchon is also home to the Bukchon Folk Museum, where you can learn about traditional Korean culture and daily life. It’s a great way to experience Korean history and culture in a short amount of time.

Finally, Bukchon is even more charming in the evening, when the hanoks are illuminated. End the day with a traditional meal at a nearby restaurant for an unforgettable experience.

Bukchon Hanok Village in Seoul is a special place where Korean tradition and modernity come together.
It’s definitely worth a visit!
